[PCGamesN] Nvidia says it “can create the most energy-efficient GPU in the world at anytime”

Source: https://www.pcgamesn.com/nvidia/turi...efficiency-7nm

Quote:
“What makes us special is we can create the most energy-efficient GPU in the world at anytime,” Huang tells Synced over at GTC, “and we should use the most affordable technology. Look at Turing. The energy efficiency is so good even compared to somebody else’s 7nm.”

Now I know why they are price gouging so hard lately. The cost of ventilating Leather Jacket man's smug cloud out the building must be astronomical

edit: I would honestly be really worried if I were at Nvidia. How long have they been operating with an R&D budget of 10x or more than AMD's GPU team and the small gap between them is all they have to show for it.

Pretty ballsy for them to use the words "affordable" and "turing" in the same sentence. Who do they think they're fooling?

How is this news? There are no details about products or direction, it is just idle boasting. The only thing this thread will do is create a battleground for fanboys to argue about nothing.

My friends at Intel and NASA, they call me.. they call me the other day - guess what they said? You'll never believe it - and we talk all the time, NASA and I, they call me all the time... because they need my advice - We talk all the time folks - they say "Jenseng you are doing just an amazing job. Nobody has ever made graphics cards as fast and efficient as you. It is just stupendous what you are doing". Can you believe it? That is what they told me. Just amazing. Amazing what we are doing.
