If 8C sample matched 9900K on CB R15 that runs @ 4.7Ghz all cores- then it mean that the Ryzen 3000 was running @4.1Ghz all cores (15% IPC) - looks reasonable to me.
Let's hope Intel has something good cooking in secret for Computex or it will be like old days vs Prescott.

If it was running at 4.1Ghz that means they didn't improve power efficiency since it was using 130w. Most likely matches the 9900ks IPC since Zen was pretty heavily optimized at launch.

What? it was all system power -thus ~65W Model to match 9900K.

They created the problem only to offer you the solution to the problem while expecting you to grovel in gratitude.

Also yes, Intel absolutely wants to force you to buy Xeons, don't forget we're not so long removed from 6 cores being a HEDT processor.

Where did you get 65w from? A 9900k that matches the result they had uses 145w(Package only). My systems total power draw when running Cinebench R15 at stock is 138w and I have a Radeon VII that uses 19w at idle along with a D5 pump that's also using around 20w.

Most likely another 105w CPU package.

Somewhat low-ish single-threaded performance on Zen makes me choose Intel. I don’t do much on my PC besides gaming anyways, so... yeah

PC : Lavry DA10 > Audio-Technica ATH-R70x
Music : QLS QA-660 > Lavry DA10 > Audio-Technica ATH-R70x
Power Conditioner : Bada LB-5500 (pre-2017 facelift model)
Portable : iPhone 5S 16GB > Aurisonics ASG1 1.3

16 bits is enough to store all we can hear, and will be enough forever.
