[lm] Tim Cook Blames Intel for Declining Mac Sales

Quote:
“For our Mac business overall, we faced some processor constraints in the March quarter, leading to a 5 percent revenue decline compared to last year," Cook said. "But we believe that our Mac revenue would have been up compared to last year without those constraints, and don’t believe this challenge will have a significant impact on our Q3 results.”

So, this potentially means AMD or internal ARM.

Because the people running Blackberry weren't looking far enough out, to see the potential applicability outside of business/executives. Steve Jobs just took that & overhauled the design: got rid of the QWERTY keyboard, sent that silly track nub thing down to the bottom & made it two dimensional (clearly the designer had a fixation with nipples, that or it was a castoff from IBM) then hyped the hell out of it.
The lemmings would come in droves since no Apple product would work with any other type of product anyhow. That was entirely by design: the incompatibility with other products was intentional & was a way for Jobs to get away with being to a dick to everyone else. There was NOT an "Apple Ecosystem" that they created for their users to be a part of. [Whoever came up that steaming pile of B.S. probably got the B.J. of his life at the next company shindig].
From what you're saying BlackBerry stole everything from the IBM Simon or one of the old Windows CE handheld devices.

macOS is the second easiest desktop OS to use after Chrome OS. Hopefully Microsoft will cave and release a Unix based desktop OS.

Back on topic, many other manufacturers also had to switch to AMD to fulfill their sales.

I had an HTC Vogue, which was an updated HTC touch, which was one of the windows phones that came out before the iPhone. It wasn't nearly as good though, it just did stuff first. One day I dropped it 4 ft and the screen broke. I had the stylus in a junk drawer for years. It was a lot more like windows xp than the new, easy to use W8 mobile ones were and really needed that stylus.
