It probably draws 300W and requires a copper 360 rad to cool. Truly the Fermi of CPUs.

How high can you run your 9900k all core on stock voltage? What is stock voltage and what does it take to run it all cores at 5ghz?

I don't expect much from these tbh, it's likely just 9900k on sky high voltages to run 5ghz

My 9900K is average at best but I need ~1.3v for 5.0. 4.8 all core with a -100mv offset is what I run 24/7 so maybe 4.9 on stock voltage?

Curious if the rumored R0 stepping is going to be the 9900KS. That would point to it being a different SKU entirely instead of just a 9900K with higher default VID.

Intel scrambling to do something last minute. There very unprepared for amd this year.

My 9900k does 5ghz all core around 1.29v but it does start to get very very toasty even with a 360mm aio.

Unless this chip is highly binned im suspecting intel pushed it to the limit and is totally saying screw it too temps, power usuage to just keep that gamming crown even if its like 1-2%

Not even the overall crown, but only the 1080p/240hz crown. It's like claiming "fastest Reliant Robin on Earth"

hmm 4.8ghz seems to have been a tough sticking point for quite a few years now. Would be surprising if they really squeezed it to 5ghz without touching voltage..

I was under the impression last time R0 came up that it was just a fix for some PCI-E related bug, in which case r0 makes sense for the 9900ks. Who knows if anything else changed.
