Last year, Intel showcased a CPU during its keynote a processor with all of its cores at 5 GHz. Today, that becomes a reality – Intel is set to launch a processor that promises that frequency in any scenario. The new Core i9-9900KS is an 8-core processor that will run at 5.0 GHz during single core workloads and multi-core workloads.
Probably gonna be the chip I install in my z170 using CoffeeTime.

Pure laziness. I expected a 10c Comet Lake demo at least, not just a binned 9900K... You can already buy these online from the right places.

It might be enough to stop the 12c Ryzen from taking the single-threaded performance crown, though, which is what I presume this was all about.

This products success will purely be based on how well Ryzen 3K is, we don't know how well it will be, signs show it being the next great thing, well see.....

They've finally lost their minds, to me it looks like they have absolutely nothing to counter the Ryzen 3000 with. They already went nuts with the 9990XE for HEDT and now this

They should bundle it with a 240/360 AiO tbf.

Core i9 9900K @ 5.2 || EVGA Z390 DARK || 2x8GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB 4600 C18 @ 4266 C17 || GPU: EVGA Kingpin RTX2080Ti @ 2130MHz || Samsung 970PRO 1TB + 860EVO 2TB || Lian Li O11 Dynamic White || Corsair AX1600i || Screen: LG B8 OLED 55 and LG 34GK950F
Corsair H150i PRO + Noctua NF-A12x25

This should give us an idea of how 8C/16T Zen 2 performs, this is clearly a response in anticipation of that.
