You don't find a single socket SR to be a bit meh? I really was expecting dual when I saw SR-3, half of it is missing.

Come on man. Tell me honestly. Would you rather have the ASUS SAGE dual LGA3647 board or the DARK SR-3.

I mean, Jesus look at the power connections.

Most people can only dream of owning a single W-3175X let alone two...

EVGA really only needs to be doing graphics cards and their PSUs (which are just rebranded from other company). Those are the main things they are known for and are of good quality, every other product type should be dropped

And yes I know this is a thread about their new amazing motherboard. Sure it looks nice, sure it has crazy high end specs. But guess what? Their sales will be horrible. No one needs this unless they are going for world record LHe runs. Far more money spent on the product than they receive back

forced water-cooling?

The Dominus Extreme is way better - the only problem is there is no proper CPU cooler available - the Asetek has been sold out for months and the EK cooler for the 3175-X is nowhere to be found. Noctua does have an air-cooler but cooling a 28-core unlocked CPU with air is... hmm. Need a really good AIO cooler.

That "Intel & Nvidia" policy only might become their grave, especially now Intel will keep losing ground after Zen2 comes out.
If only EVGA could make an AM4 X570 board as a hommage to old DFI (same as what they did with the Z390 Dark) these things would sell like hot buns.

Very sad to read such info, I've used the SR-2 in the past, 980Ti SC's, 1080 SC's, bought the 2080Ti KP last week and yesterday the Z390 DARK dangit.

Core i9 9900K @ 5.2 || EVGA Z390 DARK || 2x8GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB 4600 C18 @ 4266 C17 || GPU: EVGA Kingpin RTX2080Ti @ 2130MHz || Samsung 970PRO 1TB + 860EVO 2TB || Lian Li O11 Dynamic White || Corsair AX1600i || Screen: LG B8 OLED 55 and LG 34GK950F
Corsair H150i PRO + Noctua NF-A12x25

In Europe their top end GPUs (no Kingpin) are always more expensive vs Asus Strix fro example...thei 2080Tis FTW Ultra the same.....like 200-250 Euros more...NO way I would pay for this.

That's another of EVGA's problems, they either don't care for EU customers - products get released weeks after they've been released in the US or they have issues certifying their gear for sale in Europe.

Well...to me that €2040 for a Kingpin was worth it, as it's faster than a Titan RTX in games which is almost €3k new. I've had the Aorus Xtreme and also sold my MSI 2080Ti Lightning-Z today (€1700 new). The KP is in different league. 40*c under load with fans swapped to Noctuas is amazing.
