Noctua does have an air-cooler but cooling a 28-core unlocked CPU with air is... hmm. Need a really good AIO cooler.
Getting the the 28 core and this motherboard and relying on AIO coolers? lol okay.

If only EVGA could make an AM4 X570 board as a hommage to old DFI (same as what they did with the Z390 Dark) these things would sell like hot buns.

Very sad to read such info, I've used the SR-2 in the past, 980Ti SC's, 1080 SC's, bought the 2080Ti KP last week and yesterday the Z390 DARK dangit.
An EVGA X570 likely wouldn't sell well. That would likely be due to cost (R&D, BOM, retooling, manufacturing, QC, marketing) and low sales volume. If EVGA made a normal X570 board, it wouldn't really be any different than other X570 mobos. Only an X570 DARK would stand out and it will not be cheap.

How many AMD supporters would honestly buy an X570 DARK when they are pretty vocal about pricing? In these forums there are already plenty of negative opinions on the prices of Ryzen 3000 and X570 mid to highend boards. I honestly have no issues with AMD's pricing, or Intel's or Nvidia's. I'd hope for a bargain but I don't feel I'm entitled to it. Any company has a right to price whatever they feel is right, it simply just doesn't guarantee a sale.

Also congrats to team EVGA for winning Overclock's "Best of Computex 2019" with the SR-3 DARK.

It doesn't have to be TOTL imo, as long as it's decently priced like the FTW/FTW-K boards. They badly need more cash flow and releasing another extremely niche SR board won't change it

Core i9 9900K @ 5.2 || EVGA Z390 DARK || 2x8GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB 4600 C18 @ 4266 C17 || GPU: EVGA Kingpin RTX2080Ti @ 2130MHz || Samsung 970PRO 1TB + 860EVO 2TB || Lian Li O11 Dynamic White || Corsair AX1600i || Screen: LG B8 OLED 55 and LG 34GK950F

I agree on your point about the FTW/FTW-K line, but personally that product line has a lot of competition for that price tier from other mobo makers.

My opinion is EVGA releasing another niche product is just the norm. I think they know what they're doing when it comes to their Kingpin and Dark lines. All the costs and sales potential involved. It's their other product lines especially their new lines outside of GPUS, mobos, PSU that's a concern. All your eggs in one basket usually isn't the best idea, but spreading out too far too fast in unfamiliar territory is always a business risk. Like with their cases, laptops, and monitors that I didn't know that existed. Not like I was going to buy one of their monitors anyway. I did really want a SC-17 GTX 1080 laptop before that went discontinued.

That's Intel's fault not EVGA's, Xeon W's don't have a UPI link. While the first generation Core series had 1 QPI link.

The X55xx and X56xx had two QPI's, those were the CPU's for the SR-2. I wouldn't even care for a second QPI for that W3175X, do you want 6mm2 copper wires as power delivery instead of PCB traces? OC'ed that thing is already pulling 1kW, let alone two of them.

Thats because they are located in a relatively small city in a small warehouse in California, and still run like a small shop that never moved on when their popularity took off.

Seriously? I know they do have shop in Germany (or has it already closed) and like 2-3 years ago they opened one here, in the Netherlands.

yeah.. jesus. I didn't remember exactly how much... How do they even justify these prices I mean this cant have that much more engineering or matrerials than the rampage 6 extreme or whateever... seriously this has gotten out of hand... 1900$ "consumer" GPUs

honestly Im gonna make the EKWB lignum series but with actual sexy wood like ebony, zebra, leopard// actual exotics... give people a reason to spend that much on a gpu waterblock... I mean I got all the tools I could want other than a cnc n lazer engraver.. but cnc isnt necessary n i can take stuff to someone withh an engraver.. plus I can use epoxy n make actual cool stuff... SO Ima see how that works..

maybe then I can buy one lol

(If y'all) ain’t ready for the old murder, then what you gonna do with the new me?
