Imagine this thing as dual socket... oh man. Makes me want to get my hands on an Epyc motherboard... dual 64 core Epyc chips. Because why not?

Just an update here: a photo of the finalized retail version of the SR-3 LGA 3647 motherboard has been released. See the end of this thread over on evga forums.

That same image follows below:

Well i mean that depends where in europe they don't put cards in a country that average salary is 500 bucks per month since nobody is gonna buy them hardly

How it's in Intel's court to see if they release a successor to the 3175X.

Overclock could get one of these glorious motherboards, however Intel won't send over a W-3175X to test with it...

Not so sure about that; have you tried? I mean if Jay No Sense and Stephen Burke at GN can get their hands on them, why not you? Maybe you need to try influencing a little harder?

Many times, same result.

Yeah no kidding. I need to get a solid contact at Intel.

So is this motherboard water-cooling ONLY? Is there a way to get it so that we can use it with an AIO cooler for the CPU but everything else is just air-cooled?

That thing is gorgeously designed... I don't think there is a single thing I'd change.

Also, I think they absolutely made the right choice for watercooling, for something like this, and the setup that'd go with it. Anything other than a full customer water build would just be silly.

You'd probably want to wait on the release of thermals for that chipset cooler, but I'd think if you supplied the right AIO you might be able to cool both the cpu and the chipset using it. From what I've read, that cpu (W-3175X) does run hot though, especially when overclocked. It's also a pricey combo, I think upwards of 5Gs just for the MB and cpu.

Could make for one heck of a WS though. I've been thinking coupled at least with dual quadros (e.g., RTX 6000) and of course 128GB ecc ram.
