luckily companies have these things called departments.

gpu division of EVGA, up until just recently, has always been solid as a rock. i'm sure they'll shake it off & stick around for a bit longer.

R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.

Hi,
They do enough to trigger a fraud alert so they do charge you they just eventually hopefully refund.

so yeah tuning software like Afterburner are still very much relevant to most enthusiasts

this is not a simple case of 'yeah they were pricks and didn't honour warranty' but to maliciously/pre-meditated basically an IP theft

that doesnt sit well with me, so voted with my wallet and dont mind seeing these guys going away

idgaf about less than stellar service from the other guys, at least they're not blatantly ripping off designs

computer hardware are practically disposable after a few years anyways...warranty from some tech vendor are not much of a consideration to me unlike an appliance, a camera lens, etc. that'll easily do 10 if not 25 years from companies that've been around far longer than i've been alive

so you dont care if another company pulls some BS and refuses your warranty and your out upwards of 1500 CAD? ok pal thats stupid and childish. Look its 100% your right to vote with your wallet and to be honest i got alot of respect for that, but literally saying you dont care if a company honors their warranty or not so long as they dont do ip theft (new flash 100% of companies do it) is not smart. It may be disposable to you but 90% of people a 1500 dollar graphics card or a 400+ dollar motherboard isnt disposable, me personally and many of my friends simply cannot throw away money like that. I mean i still got an 8800 GT from EVGA that still works, i kept it because it was expensive for me back in 2007.

IP theft in software? SHOCKER!

it was a stupid decision that they didn't think the general public would care about.

Is there a tl;dr on this IP theft stuff? I'd hope EVGA don't go away. BFG Tech was another good AIB back in the day. I'd hate to buy from some of the other brands. I've got some terrible memories of PNY gear that sucked.

TLDR - they did some things n basically cloned afterburner+rivatuner code without permission. people got pissed, EVGA replaced with modern garbage precision x.

He goes to these meetings now, n buys lots of guns. wait, that came out wrong.

disappointing season, at the end of a console cycle. The new behemoth comes, soon and many lulz will be had, and many $100 bills burned. epeens will throb, and epeens will crumble.

The flagship to release after the next round of consoles should be pretty epic. Until late 2020 though, the only thing to look forward to is Switch light.
