I have played with DX12 in Tomb Raider and it was better.

Are you using nVidia cards? Generally, AMD cards don't really care whether the game runs DX11 or DX12, occasionally performing superior in DX12. nVidia works fine at DX11 but has issues under DX12.

Dice have been the ones that should have pushed DX12. Sadly that failed hard. They were one the first to implement DX11 in BF3 correctly. I mean they got Mantle more right than DX12. Almost like Nvidia has an iron hand.

no worries, just save it for BF6, or whatever is next.

That new star wars title will most likely be DX12 RT'd to the mun n back.

however, it's all moot until it works with two gpus. They slapped DX12 stickers on this box, no show me more proof!

God, I wish for mGPUs. Now is the best time to get mGPUs because buying a GPU later on actually makes sense. Before if did not as single GPU from new gen was always better.

Looks like Navi was designed for mobile after all. And this is the performance we get when it's scaled up? Impressive.

Team red has confirmed the AMD Navi release date for July 7, with the Radeon RX 5700 graphics cards being set up to take on the Nvidia RTX 2070. The new RX 5000-series GPUs’ RDNA tech represents the next generation of graphics design from the red team and a long-awaited departure from the age-old GCN architecture. And it’s obviously impressed Samsung enough that the Korean semiconductor giant has entered into a licensing deal with AMD to use its RDNA IP in future smartphones.

How is that even similar to their lack of willingness to increase tessellation throughput?

Crysis 2 was notorious with tessellation because the game unnecessarily tessellated things that didn't need it and had zero visual impact on. The game performance would improve massively after the useless tessellation was stripped from objects that didn't need it.

NV is fine if not better than AMD now with DX12/Vulkan as they have more features in hardware. Maxwell/Paxwell... sure those had less than Vega.
Volta dead. And Turing is fine. AMD is playing catch up now even on features.
