I recently gave my grandson my stripped out FX system. It's still sitting in a corner because they don't have the money to buy a psu and gpu for it.
LOL i can relate, although don't you have a spare PSU and GPU to trow at it?

Yeah, it's stupid, but isn't a big deal when you pay off something large within a few months. Other people just perpetually pay the minimum every month.

That said, personal debt had nothing to do with the 2008 crash. Debt cycles are normal.

What you want to do, as well as companies, is avoid going low on cash. Low cash is bankruptcy - not high debt - low cash to pay the high debt is bankruptcy. So if you normally have $600 in the bank all the time, finance a $600 purchase over a few months instead of nearly zeroing your cash.

Maybe nVidia is trying to take them over. nVidia really wants to sell cards themselves.

No, those are what I stripped out of it and put into this current rig. As the cost of upgrades keeps increasing faster than inflation, the pace of upgrades slows down.

@umeng2002 You must still believe in trickle down economics and the Laffer Curve.

Or maybe a better thing to do would be to save up more cash, so when you let go of that $600 you still have some left in the bank. Just a thought.

But of course the need for instant gratification gets in the way for most people.
