I've never used the front cam to take a photo, but it sure makes video calling simple. That being said, I think this design idea is a pretty pointless complication that does not make the phone any better. It will also mean that your screen protector now plays a role in your front facing cameras picture quality since you will be shooting through it.

No bezels, no buttons, no jacks, no card slots, and now no notch, the list of "new features" that makes phones worse to use keeps growing.

I probably use the front camera four times as much as the rear camera. It's obvious you guys aren't big on social media - which is fine, but you're in the minority.
If I were to guess, the majority of the people on OCN are males above the age of 25 and the overwhelming majority of males over 25 don't base their lives around selfies for facebook.

That's not even bringing up the fact that tech enthusiasts in general don't trust data mining companies to begin with lol.

Lol notchless experience, forget that. Start making some real phones again, Nokia N900, the various sliding keyboard Android phones, now those were real phones, real get work done phones.

Last phone I was actually excited about was the Motorola Defy series around 2012, it was basically a Blackberry copy running Android, I had some custom Russian Android rom running on it so I could do stuff neither stock Android, Blackberry nor iPhones at the time could do, it was dope.

I could settle for that, though it seems like a point of failure even @ twice a year.

True, But my oneplus 7 pro's pop up is rated for something like 50x a day for 5 years. But i guess it could go bad sooner.

Notch wouldn't have been a thing if the "no bezels" fad hadn't taken off. I mean I actually don't mind shrinking the bezels to increase screen estate, but not if you have to stick a fugly ass notch in there.

No jacks and no slots is an Apple specialty, which is why I avoid their phones like the plague. I don't think "no buttons" is becoming a thing thankfully. But yeah I get your sentiment, at some point we'll see manufacturers passing off "no features to make your life easier" as an actual feature LOL.

Don't need a camera to do that though:
