Unless AMD has some last minute driver magic, then we can pretty much conclude once and for all that nothing changed since AMD's Navi presentation and that Nvidia knows exactly how AMD's cards perform and just priced theirs accordingly to fit snugly in both line-ups like Hardware Canucks says (fourth video in the OP):

Now, reviewers are all abiding by AMD's NDA and some are reserving an eventual Nvidia Super recommendation based on the relative comparison to AMD's Navi cards, so we'll be waiting for those reviews as well, but as I said, unless AMD has some trick up its sleeve, we're just playing the NDA waiting game to know what we already do from how the pricing of both line-ups stacks up.

And maybe Steve from Hardware Unboxed let it slip when he said that "we're desperately in need of AMD to step it up a notch... or two... maybe three.".

That was a given. RX 5700 XT goes against 2070 not Super. This is just like 1070 Ti and 980 Ti. I still think day 1 reviews will favor Turing because they had 1 year for driver. RDNA still needs updates.

Only 9% difference and you have had that performance for that time. "Super" wouldve been if Nvidia added more RT cores, but we know that wasnt gonna happen with a refresh.

Nvidia always releases cutdown part for better yields and they always reserve 5-15% perf to combat AMD without having to do anything.

What?

Obviously Nvidia is the good guy here! Release new series at astronomical prices, come in 6 months later undercut their own products and bump up the performance to boot. Repeat each generation and slowly keep pushing price brackets.... oh... ohh wait

Sadly people keep buying into the way Nvidia does business. Everyone says there's no competition when AMD compete's well in every price bracket that 80+% of PC gamers actually buy hardware in. We only have ourselves to blame.

The only bright side here are the quicker gpu cycles. Refresh? Sure, but the performance is inching forward.

Was "your day" one specific generation? Flagships have been $600 or more since the early 2000's except for a few occasions where stiff competition, or rebranding brought them down momentarily.
