GN did a review on the Thic II and it wasn't favorable. Mediocre build quality and while decent oc, its achieved with louder and normal db vs the comp.

GN and XFX must have some beef going back. Or GN is looking to be over-the-top to somehow prove to consumers they are legit and honest reviewers that keep manufacturers accountable.

GN was way overly dramatic.

The plastic bits has been a terrible trend on all computer parts, especially motherboards.

Yes, it performs worse than the other tested cards. But you don't have to go on a rant. It's that same mindless droning on and on that he goes on in his other videos about something that should've been cut in half. That same style doesn't translate well when you have a bad review.

Especially when you see that powercolor advertises their cards on GN.

That's just Steve's thing in the past year or so. He seems to have gotten quite a big head. I can't take him seriously anymore because of it, I mostly mute his cooler breakdowns now and just watch him disassemble the parts without his commentary. Either way the review of the THIC definitely brought up some valid points about the unnecessary parts of the shroud design hurting thermals.

I was hoping the XFX card would be a bit better but the thermals are lack luster and the noise levels are pretty bad compared to MSI Gaming X, the Red Devil, and the Nitro

its the age + experience myth. "i'm 28, been doing this for 12 years" that's good, your next lesson in life is controlling ego.

What's funny is that XFX got backhurt and started to white knight themselves in the comments. Maybe Nvidia is not the only devil in their breakup story.

Yeah, it's ironic since a couple years ago when people were complaining about chinese made Noctua fan tolerances, he was the first to remark about outrage culture. Well, who do we have here neck deep in it? This is all just a big soap opera.

its an easy rut to fall into, and highly profitable.

angry people click more.

its the in thing for folks around his (my) age.

all the rage, to rage rage rage. just not much worth while to rage about so they raged into the 72 variant intersecting nightmare.

(there's plenty to rage about, but folks are just way too distracted by complete and utter nonsense.)

I've unsubbed because of this horse crap. I want some light digestible content giving me the short of a certain hardware product, I don't need the dramatic nonsense with it.
