Also, when they tested Metro Exodus, the Navi cards actually did quite well, while at other sites they didn't. On the other websites, Hairworks, which uses tessellation, is likely hampering the Navi cards. And since Anandtech specifically disabled hairworks, other websites most likely didn't, skewing the results in nVidia's favor. Keep in mind, the 5700XT actually is very close to rivaling the Radeon VII LOL.

LOL, this is awesome.
This is one of Radeon best launches in a long time. Sure they should have had some AM coolers but from what I see so far the 5700 is a good card.
Can't wait for the aftermarket coolers. Nitro 5700XT is going to be a beast.
Muhahaha

As with most Radeon released video cards press release drivers tend to be more about stability. With performance drivers coming later on (weeks later...).

That has always been the case for Radeon from what I recall. Looks like they were telling the truth about improve the Uarch.

I blame NDA 2.0. Some sites might prefer to enable Radeon crippling features found in some games. Are they still posting "Test Mythodology" anymore? If so, it should be included.

Gamers Nexus review is up, third video in the OP. Or here:

The 5700 non XT is artificially locked in terms of overclocking potential so you have to buy the XT, according to GN. No, AMD, this is not how you do this.

Is your CPU bottlenecking your GPU ? Find out: CPU and GPU usage along with FPS in-game

^ Odd results on the fan speed, RPM slows down a bit after hitting around 71ºC, and thus the card gets even more hot.
The voltage is quite odd as well, on idle it's at 0.775V (5700XT is lower at 0.725V... doesn't make much sense), while on load it seems it's locked at 0.987V no matter the frequency.

I guess the 5700 still needs to be fixed.

Furthermore, he comes off as ultra hyper critical of Radeon as a whole. The guy just turns me off.

Not surprising at all, just look at the compute workloads where the Vega 64 crushes even the RTX 2070. Vega is a high performance compute architecture while RDNA was built purely for gaming. Vega won't be going anywhere any time soon and we'll continue to see it until it's replaced with Arcturus.
