Updates Switch definitely uses the new SoC. Up to 9 hours of battery life.

The original launch Switch carried the model number HAC-001, whereas the new model number is HAC-001(-01). Ensuring you get the latest model to enjoy the extra battery life either means waiting until all the original models have sold through, or asking retailers to let you check the model number on the box before purchasing. It seems likely we'll be waiting a while for this new model to appear, anyway.

What I'm curious about this new SoC is if it will give the Switch on docked mode a better performance as it won't require the extra battery life.
