[TPU] AMD increases GPU marketshare in Q2 2019: Jon Peddie Research

"AMD shipments increased 9.8%, NVIDIA was flat and Intel's shipments, decreased -1.4% as indicated in the following chart."

AMD actually beat Nvidia in Q2. RTX anyone?
Considering AMD is making Intel APU's these days I wonder what their marketshare really is?

Good for AMD, despite murmurings of internal frustrations over the chip, it’s been a great product.
Can’t wait for Big Navi.

It is to be expected. I can only wonder how well the landscape will look once 5800 series is released for AMD.
No, not just dGPU but AMD entire GPU landscape.

It seems that the lack of RTX vaporware isn't hurting Navi at all.

It is clearly because buyers are wrong.

How in the world would AMD gain market share when it only launched a rebadge and the RVII in over a year? Moreover when Nvidia has 5 SKUs more powerful than the RVII?

I don't know. What could it be?

i mean... isn't that supposed to happen when you drop an all new mid range killer in the same quarter? (despite NV having multiple faster SKUs... AMD's got less latency* and better image quality*... something you can't really prove without 1st person account)

R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.

Actually, I believe these stats are from before Navi launched. AMD's mainstream offerings have beaten Nvidia's in price/performance for awhile now.

And that is the real reason why Nvidia has been on the offensive.

The best thing about all of this rivalry is that leather jacket man and Lisa are family, it still makes me laugh. I wonder what family reunions are like, must be very interesting. And it also makes me wonder what kind of deals they make behind the scenes.

Edit: Intel have always had a majority marketshare thanks to enterprise.
