[Yahoo] NVIDIA Joins VMware to Drive AI Acceptance Amid Enterprises

Source: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/nvidi...151703517.html

Quote:
NVIDIA NVDA recently partnered with VMware VMW to deliver accelerated GPU services by bringing its virtual GPUs to VMware Cloud on AWS, Amazon’s AMZN cloud platform.

Reportedly, the new services leverage Amazon’s EC2 bare-metal instances, expedited by NVIDIA T4 GPUs and NVIDIA’s new Virtual Compute Server (vComputeServer) software.

With this partnership, VMware will now be able to provide its customers with a high-performance AI compute infrastructure.

we use VMWare via a cisco blade or two to drive RDS for a few thousand users. (i think this is the simplest way to say it)

its kinda sad that they use zero GPU power, at least in our blades so this is interesting to see.
