[Nvidia]LG’s Big-Screen 4K OLED TVs First To Be Validated For Superior G-SYNC Compatible Gaming

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce...screen-gaming/

"LG E9 and C9 models, ranging in size from 55 to 75-inches, will receive G-SYNC Compatible firmware updates later this year. Simultaneously, we’ll release a new GeForce Game Ready Driver, enabling GeForce RTX and GeForce GTX 16-Series gamers to connect their PCs via HDMI to validated G-SYNC Compatible LG TV"

About time! Now there is no reason for a lot of us to buy any high end gaming monitor over an OLED TV.

now its time for it to not be just some LG stuff

i mean, what GTX16 series owner also has a $5,000 LG OLED TV?

in all seriousness though.

I truly hope the new consoles being HDMI2.1 forces the market to give us a few more less than $5,000 options.

inb4 people whining saying nVidia's G-Sync Compatible should be called FreeSync. Even though G-Sync Compatible is a unique nVidia hardware/software solution that utilizes DisplayPort Adaptive-Sync protocols just like AMD's hardware/software solution FreeSync and Qualcomm's QSync. With G-Sync at least we know the panels are properly tested.

remember to let me know if you see it on the low low during the holidays.

I wasn't planning on jumping to 4K120hz until 2021, but if it gets low enough then wth.

I fully expect monitors with the same level of tech to be going for $899+ by 2021.

for me, I'm most looking forward to 120hz 4K options. 120hz @4k > G-sync.
