As a veteran of WoT, I can say with complete conviction that no competitive player will use this feature in any respect. Anything that murders your framerate like this is a huge no-no in any competitive setting.

My nephews luv this game. I can clearing see them asking their Daddy for a new RTX card to handle the tech. Games ftp, yet, somehow the parents end up paying a few hundred for it! Kids now a days have better rigs than us when we were at their age. #oldman.

Damn, ku4eto is right. Let's cancel every single modern AAA game that's not ABSOLUTELY realistic and remake them with crap graphics.

Would rather have RT in War Thunder, but that game can be taxing as it is.

It seems to be inevitable. Every major engine is going RT in one way or another.

Yeah Intel is just pushing their agenda. I'm sure the devs got some extra money they can put forth into features though. Can't be a bad thing.

If this was a purely technical pursuit, they'd implemented RTX as well for comparison sake.

When hardware RT for Navi gen 2 lands it'll probably require DXR or a Vulkan extension. These "custom" RT implementations seem silly to me.
