worse than sticking with the current pricing is them only competing with themselves for "best" which means gains can be continue to be small.

this'll all change after Intel has released a couple revisions. until then, it's a crap shoot.

The smaller the process the harder it is to dissepate heat. You will see the same clock speed reductions in Intel's next node.

I would like to see them put more money on GPUs so nvidia will have more competition. With their 7nm GPUs not really giving a fight to nvidia, nvidia might pull another tuning with next gen and put GPUs again in ridiculous prices because they have no competition.

Both. They finally have an efficient enough product to finally really compete, and actually beat Intel/Nvidia in power consumption in the mobile space. As of now they can cede the gaming crown to Intel and gain market share in mobile and HPC.

All AMD has to do is sell more lanes for less than intel, & they'll keep pulling gamers. All thanks to nvme really.

I think AMD will need a few more years of spanking Intel before they'll really invest in a broader GPU stack.

As other posters have stated, it would be oh so nice to have competition in that segment as well. I have the GPU upgrade bug, but nothing that is available today really tickles my fancy(I will need to tear down and rebuild my hard tubing loop again, 30% isn't worth doing that for, coming from a 1700, the 3900X combined with the x570 master was absolutely worth doing that for do).

Cool maybe they will have a poll to find out what RnD people want. Then they can dedicate those 2 guys to it that they hired.

NVMe and gamers in the same sentence is funny. I'd love to see a gamers reaction when they find out they paid 80% more for a 1-2 second decrease in load time compared to a SATA SSD.

NVMe is literally useless if you are not dealing with huge blocks of files or large amount of small ones non-stop.

SATA SSDs provide 99.999% of the same performance for daily usage, which includes gaming.
