Pretty crazy seeing the performance the 3950X offers vs the 9980 especially while still coming in at a significantly lower price.

But if I had to be honest..... It would've been nice if AMD binned the 3800X to hit the 3950X clock speeds (stock)

Look what AMD was able to achieve in just 2 years! they almost tripled the performance from first Zen 1800X!

In conclusion: Not as fast as the 9900K, although it's 1% is better in many cases, however overall many games are not optimized for 16 cores and in the end not a gaming CPU. Good and cheaper alternative for a productivity Threadripper and a great power saver.

Has anyone done tests with Davinic Resolve? I know Puget are but the results aren't out yet.

This thing is a beast, dreading the AUD pricing though, guessing it'll be at least $1200 if not more .

Keep in mind, I haven't seen the reviews yet, but it has a wider lead on 1% over the lead a 9900k has on avg fps, then it is the faster cpu in those titles IMO.

I have only read the AnandTech review and I have the AGESA 1004 on my x470 with 3700x so it exist on MSI boards already and to me the star of the show @ $329 and 65watt TDP vs the price of others and power level used .

Ryzen 5 3600
Gigabyte AB350M-DS3H CF
G-SKill 16Gb
Red Dragon RX 570 8Gb
Corsair TX 650 watt
