Yeah, you're definitely not a fanboy.

AMD has had "nVidia killers" for a decade almost every GPU cycle. It's a surprise Jensen still has a job.

AMD should be proud of the fact that they were able to limit the loss to only 5% despite the fact that they once again launched two cards that weren't any better than what they had previously launched.

Here's to hoping that they come out with a card worth buying in 2020. I will stop hoping if that card is limited to stock blower style configurations though (the only thing that keeps me from REALLY using my RVII).

Yeah, nVidia are probably going to be bankrupt really soon. It's the fault of all of those RT cores. We all know they'll be completely obsolete whenever consoles hit the market because they can't be used for anything else; only Quake 2.
just like when you predicted AMD would go belly up as well?

i'm curious what tensor will evolve into, as its nowhere near as cool as they said it was gonna be. Nigh killing NV though? silly.

the other thing too, is this... NV and AMD both waiting on TSMC 7nm production to ramp = the big suck

That's a classical response, and not unexpectedly coming from you. The worst ones are the ones that are unaware that they're biased. The irony of this post is as obvious as water being wet.

Not sure I understand this train of thought, considering the RVII does not use a blower style cooler. Obviously its cooling solution is not as great as some AIBs would have potentially implemented their cooling solution. But in any case, I doubt AIBs will not make custom cards for AMD's future cards. The Radeon VII was basically a placeholder until Navi came out, and the AIBs most likely knew that, and the cost to creating a custom solution for a relatively short-lived card most likely was not profitable.

Jensen still has a job because he is NV

and true, AMD has been pretty good with mid range killing the last decade, while their CPUs flopped. We're all just waiting for them to release a killer worth a damn. we know they're capable. We've seen it with ryzen.

I did?

Do you have a link to a post to remind me of that?

nope, just throwing it to hope it sticks

forgot, you're AMD fan, we were probably agreeing 6 years ago, when everyone else was singing doom and gloom. the real question is, did you buy into your beliefs? If so, that pick is doing quite well.

I don't buy into OCN's doomsday prophesies. Both AMD and nVidia have died a hundred deaths on this forum.

As for my part in balancing the market share, I recommend the 5700XT to all of my friends asking me about an upgrade path, on the basis that it's the best value, along with the 5700.

i've been recommending it cuz its 7nm. give money to those who innovate first.

i meant buying in when they were @ like $2, now ~$40. decent win.
