neither does translate for AMD own performance in games, PS4 titles like beyond two souls and detroit become human performance is underwhelming compared to nvidia, if there is not optimization from developers there wont be better performance in PC,also Consoles having more RAM will make obsolete some 8GB cards...next gen console might make a big percent of 2017-2013 pc specs obsolete

1.4 in 10 years is a joke for sure. This just sounds like marketing writing a proposal for a new design without knowing dates and so they just assumed Mores law. One thing to note is that clock speeds are not listed in this. So, maybe they could make a 1.4nm chip at 500Mhz clock speed. Useless for Desktops, Laptops, games and so on, but would be awesome for embedded systems and other low power devices.

you're kinda looking at this out of order, and we were talking about CPU usage not GPU usage.

the last generation of consoles allowed much better multicore usage, compared to previously where almost everything was locked down to 1 core.

yes, I fully expect these new consoles, even the low end, to render a giant swatch of gaming PCs "obsolete" by comparison. That's par for the course, and to be expected. It's a good thing in some ways. The example I keep using is them sporting HDMI2.1. This means we'll finally get it on some GPU SKUs, AND we'll start seeing more 2.1 monitors come to market.

moar ram is always nice, but i'd really like FAaAAaaaAaAAAaaaaAAAster ram, without having to buy a titan.

anywhoo, this is off topic, my bad. -

intel = up sharts' creek without a paddle until CORE is dead.

R.I.P. Zawarudo, may you OC angels' wings in heaven.
If something appears too good to be true, it probably is.
