You know, a OLED TV with almost same specs and VRR, at 2x the panel size, is 1/3 the price.

This thing is a IPS old technology and cost $3600. These panel manufacturer refuse to give us 30-40" size or charge us a kidney on a old technology when they are finally at it.

I am so done with the monitor BS, it is exploiting gamers at its finest. I am sick of this price & display size fixing. Once LG comes out a 40" version for wall mount OLED TV with DP 2.0, bye bye overpriced IPS, you will never see a dime from me.

It explains a lot. How many manufacturers have been caught and just get a slap on the wrist, then continue to do so? The top company can make outrageous sized panels and charge $60,000 for it, but somehow never makes a small/moderate sized panel for the masses? Sounds like my ISP...

it has to be manipulation, if patents aren't an issue.

Is this the new led tech that's supposed to grant OLED quality without the burn in, or is that micro-LED?

Micro-LED is supposed to be the replacement to OLED that solves burn in.

seems like burn in is pro-business though, as it sells more units. kinda like phones with 9 months rated batteries

micro-led will be vastly more expensive due to the "no burn in" bit

The X27 and the asus equivalent got discounted a few hundred dollars a few months after release, at least at micro center.

I'm sure they price it this way so they can "discount" it shortly after to make some feel like they're getting a "deal".

This will not sell at all. LG CX 48" OLED most likely costs less than half of this and you can run 4k 120hz using HDMI 2.0. PASS.

You might wanna check one out in person before you pull the trigger for one, unless you can return it after buying and get your money back. It was on my radar a few years ago but I read a bunch of negative things about those screens, not least of which was an edge of screen shadow issue that I was not willing to accept.
