should be flat.

just build an oversized desk for your oversized toys. looking at this desk I built, I don't think i'd need to wall mount a 48 anymore

You should anyway imo. Just looks so much cleaner without the stand, especially if you can route the wires behind the drywall.

144Hz and is limited by DP 1.4 bandwidth. You can only run 98 Hz through HDR 10bpc.

Even with $600 discount this panel is still a whopping 3 grand, not something u will pay for something inferior to OLED panel.

The predator X38 is a better alternative, since it can run 120Hz @ 3840x1600 resolution with HDR 10bpc.

Thanks. I'm getting an itch to build a rig again (sold my last rig off here at OCN a couple of years ago). I bought a halfway decent gaming laptop but I miss my 35" monitor....

I'm keeping my eyes on this currently: Nixeus Reveals EDG 27″ 4K Freesync 144Hz Gaming Monitor With DSC!

Quote:
The Nixeus NX-EDG274K will be available on Newegg and Amazon in Q1 2020.
The Nixeus NX-EDG43* has not been given a release window yet.
Pricing on both is targeted at sub-$1,000USD market making the NX-EDG274K an exceptionally competitive contender for those wanting a High Refresh Rate 4K monitor.

The interesting thing this time around is that the tech for 4k 144hz has been around for a couple of years now. I've had mine for almost 2 years even. But this time around the big-name companies have tried to drip-feed progress so slow for profit, that a relatively little known player like Nixeus is actually first to market with a product this time around. Its good to see and I really hope he puts the hurt on the big companies for their laziness.
