Ah, you are 100% correct, just googled it up and those receivers connect to the speakers via Wi-Fi...

The more you know...

i mean, you were right, you just drew the wrong conclusion.

i'm no blue tooth wizard, i just know the MIC feature always sucks in portables, and its monogamous to a fault. or I guess, was.

Bluetooth 5.0 allows for two devices, meaning two sets of headphones, 2 speakers, or a stereo headphones and a mic. Not more than two though, which this new standard will allow for.

It's a nice evolution for stuff like BOSE systems. Now they can come in 2.1. two satellites that report back to the sub woofer. I'd love to only have to worry about the power line.

hmm... that seems like a nice replacement for my decade old logi 2.1, while I wait on having the space to setup proper PC surround sound.

Maybe I am misunderstand what y'all are talking about but I have been using a bluetooth transmitter for over a year now that lets me transmit my computer audio to two bluetooth devices at the same time (speakers and neck speakers). My bose neck speakers will also connect to two different sources at the same time, but I have never tried to send audio to them from two different sources at the same time.
