Are they dropping prices of current 2060s or releasing these "new" models at lower prices? For all we know these are most likely made with cheaper parts.

Last I checked the RTX 2060 runs pretty much every RTX title with DxR(high) enabled at 1080p Ultra settings with 60FPS+. Please explain again how DxR is pointless using a RTX 2060? By all means if you are a serious a FPS player who's after every frame turn it off but to say it won't run well on a RTX 2060 is a lie.

Speaking from my own experience. I find RTX even with 2080 Ti utterly useless. I actually view it as negative for RTX cards. Could have saved die size and cost. Nothing is ready. Software is not ready, rtx 2xxx is too slow.

No reviewer is even counting rtx performance at that vrs just flat out raw fps performance, as it should be for now vrs AMD offerings.

Good to see some price drops but to be fair 2000 series is pretty old now so does it even matter?(maybe old a bit strong but long into its product cycle)

None the less the 5600xt by its specs wont be far behind the 5700 and at its price could be a decently powerful card. Amd is doing well in this mid range market right now with navi.

New models. Sure they're cheaper. That's probably how they're getting the price down. But as long as the heatsink/fan is able to keep temps in check I'm sure performance will be right there.

Admittedly it's not that impressive, given everything we know about the 2060 as is. Also, it's worth noting that on Newegg there isn't a single 2060 (non-super) that is under $330 that isn't on sale for $50-off. Most are just as expensive as the 5700, so... the belief that this 2060 will magically remain at the $279 pricepoint is laughable at best.

A 2060 is only about as fast as the older GTX 1080, a bit slower actually, and the 1080 can be had for cheaper, so why bother for an RTX card that can't even manage raytracing to save it's own name?

Still a bit pricey for a 1080p card. But its good to see RTX cards dropping in price.

Man I'm glad I picked up a 5700 for $279 months ago because the recent releases from AMD and Nvidia have been a study in who can do the least.

"We should make it clear that NVIDIA is a good company, and we respect their attempted transition into being a smartphone company." - Roy Taylor, AMD
