For those that don't like to watch videos like me. Clearly the RTX 2060 is the better buy for overclockers.

Nvidia also gave the GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB very little additional scope at the time, but this is available despite everything and even allows a staggering in reference card, factory OC and maximum OC, in which the differences are well above the measurement tolerances , This card is anything but an overclocking miracle and has already clearly survived its time. As an outsider, it is simply not understandable why AMD uses this discontinued model in such a way. Especially not for this price.

In other words get a 5700 (since the price has come down to about the same as the 2060) OC it or bios update it and call it a day. Not to mention the added performance due to better drivers in the future.

I guess that's one of my favorite thing about amd cards. My 580 is still getting boosts via drivers. My 1050ti (which I still like) has never gotten any increases. It's one of the major things that makes me very happy about selling my 1060 and getting the 580. The 580 now walks all over the 1060. With all the driver issues currently with the new amd cards there's are definitely improvements coming to performance. With the Nvidia cards, yes you get better day 1, but that's about all you can expect going forward.

This thread is getting confusing and bias. Lets post the results:

As you can see most of those OC vs OC results provide similar game play experience according to the reviews. A few FPS is not a game changer. From a game play experience prospect it's a virtual tie within margin of error. The only thing you can get from that is 2 is greater then 3 but nothing more. And is a logical fallacy trying to compare numbers in that way to game play experience. I would expect by now we've grown from that.

Therefore, I would most certainly recommend a 5600 xt over a 5700. As that would be in their budget to begin with.

AMD has always had issues with some sandbox games as you can see here. That's nothing new. However, once you are over 100 fps the results are a wash regardless if you see 120 vs 140 it still a wash as the game play experience doesn't change. Specially if you have monitors that offer LFC.

RX Vega 56 is the best sub $300 card right now.

While that may be the case now (as idk 56 prices), I think the 5700 will obviously come out on top in the long run. Will revisit this sometime down the road.

HBCC and if the user doesn't care for power usage flashing the RX Vega 64 bios works perfectly. I picked one of these up and it runs the LC bios perfectly. HBM only hits 1050Mhz since it's not Samsung memory. Runs at 1700Mhz all the time.

5600xt could be a decent purchase if AMD's drivers weren't so trash. I'm not sure why we ignore this as a factor here

I actually recommended Rx 570 to a friend for his build a couple months ago and he's been having a flickering issue on his second monitor. An issue I had four years ago with my Fury

doesn't the 5600 have issues with bios. As in only some cards can deliver the performance AMD is promising.

I saw a gamer nexus video on this.
