The past flu virus season infected half a million people, causing 140 thousand people to be hospitalised, killing over 8000 and that's dwarfed by the greatest killers in the US: stroke, heart disease and dementia. If you are really worried about getting ill and dying from a non-existent 'epidemic' that has infected 8000 people and caused 200 deaths, then you should just stop breathing because air pollution has a higher chance of killing you than the 2% mortality rate of this virus that has caused so much panic that it has caused the entire country to be shut down.

I wish they'd react like this when there are traffic accidents, the roads would permamently be empty as tens of thousands of people die a year because Chinese drivers are notoriously homicidal. The roads would be clear and I could go where I want freely and without the risk of some fool running me off the road for the lulz.

Once again it's proven how powerful an emotion fear is. When fear grips people they are unable to think, which is why fear is used so much in the West by authorities and the main stream liars.

Please do not downplay the severity of the situation. A person with a flu virus can infect one person. This corona virus, i read, can infect up to 3 people from one source. It is quicker. It may surpass SARS. They are saying that the antidote is a year away.

Give it a few years. They'll eventually have enough money to poach foreign engineers and assets from bigger companies then BAM! We've got a an EPYC killer on the loose. China's rate of progress in tech is not to be underestimated at this point.

Exactly. The hysteria is real. This is no more fatal than the common flu, which happens to kill tens of people everyday in my own country (mostly the elderly and people with deficient immune systems, as expected). Any death is a terrible loss, but, logistically speaking, this is pretty tame as far as epidemics go.

Sorry OP. My last post in this thread.
The only difference between the flu and corona virus is the availability of vaccine.
A lot of people getting sick is not only harmful for the economy but also puts a lot of strain on the healthcare system.
Basically damage control is getting really hard.
Also people fear the unknown. Common flu happens each year so people got used to it.
Corona virus is a new danger.

My grandmother did suffer a lot from common flu.
She did not make it through lightly.
That's why she takes vaccines in order to mitigate the risk.

Myself I manage much better with common flu.

A healthy adult will have no problems beating the virus.
As long as immune system works properly there's no problem.

Chinese doctors who got infected with the virus are already getting better.

Even the fastest pc in the world cannot beat imagination.
Spoiler!

Just some facts about the virus;

So far the mortality rate per infecting is about 4.5%.

The average death rate for flu infections is 0.4%

This virus kills healthy people, not just the old or weak.

As for the CPU, interested to see how it evolves with future revisions, not very interesting for now though.
