[Nvidia] Sweepstakes Returns: Win An Extremely Rare GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Cyberpunk 2077 Edition GPU

Source
Quote:
We’ve made just 200 of these Cyberpunk 2077 GPUs, they won’t be sold, but you can potentially win one (details below). Each has a custom AL5052 aluminum shroud, with Cyberpunk 2077’s signature yellow styling, and powerful GeForce RTX 2080 Ti hardware underneath. And of course, it comes gift wrapped in a special edition Cyberpunk 2077 box, perfect for a collector’s shelf
...
To enter just follow the steps below between now and February 28, 2020
Basically a PR for both the game and nvidia (duh).
According to the rules, there seems to be only 77 cards actually available for winning.

But hey, free GPU if you are lucky (which you are not). And it looks pretty good.
I expect this game to run at 4K HDR with RTX on at a maximum of 7fps anyway.

While this PR stunt does fall flat on its face, its a gud clue to Amperes intro is on the way. Why else would Green announce this now and not wait for the actual release of the game? Supa cool card, but sweepstakes exclusive? Really bra?

Not sure why they wouldn't do this Limited Edition on an Ampere card rather than a 2080Ti, especially given the release date of the game. We'd likely have them on shelves by then anyway.

The colour theme is really cool. I like it.

Question, so you tag a friend, and you both win, IE winners will be in pairs.... hows does that then get to 77 cards

I was thinking the same thing. 77 is divisible by 11 but then 11 doesn't mean 1 for you and 1 for your friend.

The cake is a lie!

I suspect a second run for ampere. RTX is tied to the most hyped game in a decade. How could nvidia not continue the marketing? Resale value on this card will be interesting.

its a good clue that there's no decent Ampere coming until Q2 maybe (which is spot on with tradition) mid summer release, and an end of the year release for big boys.

it'll get rebundled when the small cards strat launching in the summer.

So no 30 series for Cyberpunk. Also, that is one seriously ugly graphics card.
