where's the new info though?

YAY! 4K gaming revolution will finally arrive. can't wait to get off of this silly wide screen 1440p nonsense.

It was never confirmed from MSFT that it uses RDNA 2 and I think they never confirmed 12 TF before either. All that was just rumored.

5700xt is roughly 10TFLOPS being generous, not sure an extra 2 without knowing the rest of the specs would even remotely confirm greater than 2080S performance.

I really wish it didn't have that stupid form factor, not exactly the easiest thing to fit below a tv.
RDNA is at least 25% better than what RVII uses. Also, there is a small misconception with Tflop reporting. RVII is up to (60CU*2*64*1800) = 13.8 Tflops, 2080 Ti on the other hand (4352 * 2 * 1545) = 13.4 for "base", *1635 for FE = 14.2 Tflops and actual clock speeds are 1825MHz range = 15.8 Tflops.

This GPU will be similar to 2080S.

And all that in a $600 box?! wonder if this is possibly the higher end, more expensive unit we're being shown first?

if its the $500-$600 model, then it's a pretty epic adjustment to the cost/perf ratio. It'll be a little while before "kill your console" PCs can even dream of competing in the cost segment.

wonder if a +$600 upset is coming. social media & game forums will BUUURRRRRRRRNNNNNNN as the kids scream reeee about having to spend more of their parents money this time around.

wonder if this some how translates to mid/low end ampere already having this once a decade adjustment, or will we not see it until ampere refresh in 2021? Yes, I think Ampere will refresh that pretty quickly. this all spells further conformation of the looming GPU wars that've been predicted

Of course they confirm here it's RDNA 2, not RDNA.. so I guess it could be even more interesting than that.

Loving the specs i can only imagine the new consoles will bring even more people to PC's as this will have to be priced pretty high.
Great Specs for sure. Hope it good signs the high ends PC's will see an big jump now. That and the end of the old and increasingly overpriced 1440p monitors.

In my case, I really suspect my gaming days are near an end. At one point I had a PS4,PS4Pro (upgraded to 1TB SSD),Xbox X Scorpio and two high end PC rigs that can play games. What ended up happening in the end all were gathering dust and I had many unopened games, an steam/origin/gog/psn account that are doing nothing. The end result was I lent my PS4 to my friend, gave my Xbox X away to some local person and sold my PS4Pro with everything (except the gold color PS4 controller i use as PC game pad) for some bargain basement price. The PC's are still here obviously but i'm more of a system building enuthiast nowadays. I'm still on the fence about getting an new console at this point though I might get one so I can still use the old dvd/bluray I still retain (forgot about it when i sold my PS4Pro).

I thought movie's wise i could go all digital distribution but its not very feasible with all those individual apps and odd issues with global distribution rights. There also are some very interesting cases too, for example if you use the chinese streaming sites to watch any asian dramas and movies(chinese, korean, japanese), they work really well with Apple Airplay but not all my TV's support so I have to go through an workaround using an android tv browser. However that's Sony though for some reason, they make great high end products but always leave out one function that people really want and use some outdated stuff like 100mb ethernet. Then they fix that one item but remove popular with the last model or don't update other new stuff. One step forward Two steps back.

Is this still a 15W APU? A laptop with this APU would be amazingly fast but the price would be sexy too.
