Would also remind that anything around 1C is to be considered margin of error and that for all reasons practical, one needs deduce it from the above delta variation. For reasonable expectations anyhow.

In fairness, the kid in the video does state this favours AIOs a lot more than it does custom blocks, but at an average of 7 degrees given the fluctuations he mentions?
I'd opt for caution rather than pre-ordering. Perhaps his best pal Steve will eventually review it for him.
The "kid in the video" is der8auer. He came up with the delidding machine design, among other things. Shunt mods for GTX cards..

Was thinking the same thing, it's more like der8auer mentoring "his good buddy Steve" than the other way around.

If you're talking about Italian Steve, yeah. He's a good guy. He's not a hardcore bencher and..well he has and will take some flack. Personally I welcome his contributions to the community.
And he is an enthusiast.
He can't outbench me, though. Not that Steve hasn't done "extreme" benching, but there's more to it than that.

Steve is a hardware guy..His hardware enthusiasm is awesome! The thing is..you have to put the hardware together with the software to make the best benchy results.
All while pushing it to the limit.
Steve don't know about things like the wprime tweak, or powertoy.
And yes Roman has much more experience than Steve.
That being said: Every post Steve makes here is gold, baby!
He is super-smart and knows how to do some things.

probably not the super-pi thing, what is that called? thing, but that's OK. wazaa
I'm talking benchmark tweaks, yet Steve knows like..every trace on motherboards and how the power delivery works.

His contributions are not to be diminished. Roman's are not, either.
-A former bencher.

I think he was referencing Stephen Burke of GamersNexus.
