meh.

the only thing i'll be interested to see is 2080ti Vs. 2080ti, in 4K.

Are they just not pushing any faster or holding off for GDDR6X or GDDR7?

because "super" memory is already here

majority of samsung cards can do +1000 on memory, getting you 16gbps over stock 14gbps

micron cards on the other hand is akin to performance suicide as they have wildly varying overclock ranges

true.

I'm guessing that untapped potential will be out the window on the next series then could only last for so long. N we've been eeking out +1ghz memory OCs since keplar?

Either MSI knows the 3080’s are going to be delayed or not out anytime soon or this was just a dumb move on their part.

With next gen so close only the misinformed would waste money on a 2080TI super or not.

This is a clever way of getting rid of excess supply as there are enough people who will happily part with their money for that 1 extra benchmark point.

if anything, it means the new stuff is coming sooner rather than later.

This is the VERY LAST drop of Turing

though, since announcement was delayed, i suspect +90 days for whatever it was gonna be originally.

The PC Gamer article about it says it could even be faster than the Titan RTX. But they didn't say overall faster. They said "That 5% could be enough to see the Gaming Z Trio outperform even Nvidia's super-smart Titan RTX." There's a link for it of course but I don't think it's needed now.

We already know other 2080Ti are faster in some games but not most. It sounds like PCGamer was saying a few more games could be added to that list but not a super majority. And it's only a couple or few frames either way in general, right?
