7nm is on a high premium at the moment.

it would make it really unlikely for them to produce much of this chip without making it cost way more than $55.

Zen2 would not go that cheap because it has the same I/O die and Zen2 core. AMD still uses GF for 12nm.

That may be true since I'm trying to milk what I've got for as long as possible, but I still see $80 for the 1200af. Maybe I didn't shop hard enough, or maybe these are too new yet.

Somebody is marking up prices which is just goofy on a budget part. I wasn't aware any retailers had stock of these yet as they were really just recently released.

Dunno what's the scoop on the prices but I do know I've ordered two Ryzen 1600 AF processors in the last 7 days and both times they were $85 on Amazon.

I also know the MSI x470 mobos default to a nearly 1.5 Vcore and cooked my 1600 AF, but that's a whole separate issue. Lol.

Would make for a nice NAS build paired with a low profile video card. Or no doubt it'll have a similar passmark score to the i7-6700 or Ryzen 2400G so it would be a nice cool running Plex server option too. And don't forget it's unlocked for overclocking.

Lol I made both the threads.
I know, I was wondering why you didn't just merge them.

I've seen a lot of things get marked up during this Coronavirus Apocalypse. Cheap TVs suddenly doubled in price right after the stimulus checks started printing.
