Power consumption is through the roof and cost to keep that chip cool enough for 5.3ghz short burst and overclocking will throw all price to performance to the wind against amd.

None the less it will be fastest for gaming at small margins which is what intel is banking on with some extra cores in the product stack as too not loose so miserable to amd in multi performance.

The main thing is the new socket and lack of pcie 4.0 support make it a hard buy and sort of a dead end road to go down.

Its so sad to see intel dragging out skylake from 6th gen parts this long.

The desperation is palpable. Zen 4xxx's will be out by the end of the year and all Intel can do is a paper launch of a product without a release date.

Edit: best Batman film, in fact one of the best films ever made. I can't imagine how glowy boy is going to outdo Bale and Ledger.

Just look at the board, they're going to run really, really hot:

Isn't there already 3 different 10th-gen product lineups? How can Intel be so bad at naming their products?

From a damn good run for 15 years since CORE, they've had major problems with 10nm manufacturing. This wasn't the plan. As such they've had to work with what they've got. 2021-2022 they'll be back on track.
Consider that they best AMD 7nm in areas on 14nm, they have alright node efficiency. AMD has their work cut out for them because if they don't ramp up they will be absolutely left in the dirt like they were in the past.

Remember, AMD did a great job but its only shined because it happen to coincide with Intel's major manufacturing screw up in decades.

I'm well aware why we're in this situation. Intel are having no end of problems with 10nm, which is why their mobile 10nm are worse than their 14nm++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++.
