Wake me up when I can get a Ryzen 4000 chip in one of these instead of Intel's broken 10nm that can't clock anywhere.

I'm not sure what reviews you've read but the Ice Lake 1065g7 wins the majority of test I've seen compared to the 4800u. Unless you're referring to the iGPU. I'm pretty sure content creators would prefer AVX512 considering Adobe is taking advantage of it with their new AI.

What real products have you seen with a 4800u that have been compared with real products with a 1065G7?

I certainly have no interest in purchasing a quad core in 2020+. Unless Adobe's new AI, whatever that means, makes Acrobat Pro dramatically faster, it doesn't mean anything for me.

https://www.ultrabookreview.com/3486...o-yoga-slim-7/ "Based on the existing leaks, the Ryzen 7 4700U outperforms the IceLake Intel core i-71065G7 in synthetic benchmarks but trails the 6C/12T Comet Lake Intel i7-10710U."

What's to say Microsoft can't make a Gaming spec Surface?
That concept has been my only real interest in Surface devices since they were introduced.

I had a 13" Dell XPS at work with a 4K display. It was useless. Windows scaling is awful, and tons of programs just straight up didn't work correctly because of it. The thing had a pixel density comparable to that of my phone, which is completely and utterly pointless at normal laptop viewing distances. I ended up setting it to 1920x1080 to make it actually useful, and even then some programs were a bit wonky and I'd occasionally have to drop down to 1600x900.

A 12-13" laptop with a 4K120Hz display is just an unnecessary battery burner. Maybe once Windows scaling improves and more programs are made with high resolution assets it might make sense, but not right now.

Love my 15'' surface book to death. It is an amalgamation of things that I did not know that I really wanted till I used them. 3:2 aspect ratio almost drove me to another device as I was coming from a 4k laptop and it felt like regression but when you fire up that gorgeous screen and can work with photos in there native aspect ratio I don't think I could go back. But for all the glowing praise I have for the unit I dont think I will be picking up this new model as it feels like only a tiny bump in preformance over what I am already using.

I looked up my iPad last night, 2732x2048 on a 12.9" screen. Apple does a good job of scaling everything (but you can't adjust it) but it does seem like a waste of battery. The high amp charger I use (5 amp) can't keep up with the battery drain unless you turn the screen brightness way down. You don't even have to be playing a movie, sitting with the screen on running skype will drain the battery faster than you can charge it.

I think he is the person who has had me mixed up with someone who slighted him in Minecraft years ago. He never misses the chance to try and insult me.
