I think the leak of kitty corgi might be partial correct, if we anticipated that everything in Ampere Geforce is actually a cut down.
5760 cut out of 6144 full core (GA102 - RTX Titan A)
5120 cut out of 6144 full core (GA102 - RTX 3080 Ti)
3840 cut out of 4096 full core (GA104 - RTX 3080)
3072 cut out of 4096 full core (GA104 - RTX 3070)
In year 2021 we will might see:
RTX Titan A Refresh - Full 6144
RTX 3080 TI Super - 5760 Cores*
RTX 3080 Super - Full 4096
RTX 3070 Super - 3584 Cores
Exciting to see Tensor cores now accelerate Bfloat16. Can't wait to see the full precision performance when using the Tensor cores. ASIC accelerators won't be able to beat nVidia on price and availability.
Day one for me if they release a pcie gpu that can be used to game that has the full 8192 cores. Finally a replacement for the Titan V.
Ya, as much as I want GPU prices to come back down, if Nvidia did release the GA102 version Titan A as a $2k card and a "GA100 Titan" PCIE type card for $3k again like the Titan V, I would probably just end up buying the GA100 card with an extra 2000 cuda cores.
