True, If you're not gaming with a 5Ghz+ CPU @ very high refresh rates, then you're not doing it right. That's the only way to play.

Totally. The only unfortunate side is that i was looking at going from 3900X to 4700G while making little bit of cash also (as the bulk of cash would come from selling the 5700XT and not having to buy an replacement GPU) but that may not happen.

Prices were dropping pretty hard for the 3900X in the past week from retailers with some great deals. Wonder if Microcenter will change their pricing too since they've been at $400 for a long time now.

Was finally about to retire the good ol 4930K I have been rocking for years now and pick up a 3900X but since I am not in a huge need I will definitely give it the good old wait and see. Was probably going to upgrade my 1080Ti to the new 3080Ti when it comes out around that time anyway so may as well just do the full CPU and GPU at the same time. Cant wait! Exciting times for PC Enthusiasts that's for sure.

-You know, if we were really dating this would be the part where I'd be forced to kiss you goodnight.
Forced? Would it be so bad?
(smiles) I'm sure I could suffer through it.
Me too.

Hmm... for content creators the 3900x makes a lot more sense...

Hmm... for gamers (those who can afford these prices will game on 1440... who games on a 1080 these days?) a 3600 makes a lot more sense...

Somebody remind me why intel is still on 14nm still?

Get the memo... switch to 10nm or throw in the towel and go 7nm.
