What killed Stadia for most was having to repurchased already owned games and starting from scratch. I would love to be able to hook up a BT controller and play some of my PC games on the go from a tablet, even with the additional delay...but not if I have to buy a game I already own again at almost full price, the save files and cloud data will not transfer over, I could only choose from a small selection of current games, and I had to pay a monthly subscription fee for access to certain titles.

If it let you access games you legitimately own already and was compatible with their progress and saves, then I would happily pay the Pro sub fee.

there are wireless headsets now, and yes you're correct. It's a part of the peripheral market. However, it'll do nothing but continue to grow.

i was surprised to know pretty much every person on my team @ work has some form of VR gaming headset, while I don't. The only one with a high end PC.

Add me on Steam, same name

Big corps with no idea about interactive programs have all jumped at the game streaming, trying to be the first big company to bring it about. Meanwhile gamers already know how bad it is from the never ending stream of start ups and failed attempts at it. While big corps do have servers worldwide and can more easily get to customers, the latency still sucks and the only way I can see game streaming catching on is if M$ and Sony both together switch to streaming by selling thin client consoles or rather just well having your TV be the thin client with an app installed on it ha! As long as they keep selling consoles and the streaming is not any cheaper compared to them, then it will not catch on even if the latency could possibly in some regions be low enough for the normies to not care about for the type of non competitive, leisure games found on Consoles.

All the sellers always over promise. Game publishers/makers have been fleeing one streaming service after another also due to getting ripped off by them. *cough* Ngreedia.

As far as streaming latency goes, I hate to break it to you, but unless you invent faster than light information transportation it's not gonna go down

It's almost like consoles are so cheap and games able to run on such a huge variety of hardware both slow or fast that barely anyone cares to pay a monthly fee to play basically the exact same lineup of games when even poorer people can easily nab something to game on. That market they talk about ("...The belief that streaming was going to be transformative was based on a view that there were loads of people who really had an interest in interactive entertainment, really wanted to pay for it, but just didn't want to have a console. I'm not sure that turned out to be the case.") does exist, they're just already playing games on consoles, mobile devices or laptops and don't tend to be that interested in the Grand Theft Autos or Assassin's Creeds of the gaming world when they could be playing games like Stardew Valley, The Sims, Cities Skylines, etc...There's a reason why those games all have decent sales.
