Quote:
Jim Keller to Depart Intel; New Leaders Named

SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 11, 2020 – Today, Intel announced that Jim Keller has resigned effective June 11, 2020, due to personal reasons. Intel appreciates Mr. Keller’s work over the past two years helping them continue advancing Intel’s product leadership and they wish him and his family all the best for the future. Intel is pleased to announce, however, that Mr. Keller has agreed to serve as a consultant for six months to assist with the transition.

Looks like with Intel's funding he was able to complete that project quickly compared to other projects.

Can't wait to see his changes in Ocean Cove in 2022.

He never seems to stay in one company long. Curious whats this means. He left AMD before they came out with Ryzen so does that mean Intel 7nm project is more or less done.

Intresting. Either he has finished what needed to be done(ocean cove/7nm desgin) or as other rumors I have read suggest he left due to personal reason.

I have read alot of stuff suggesting the inner workings of intel is a **** show, and highly disorganized.

We still haven't seen what he did with AMD's ARM team yet.

Don't know if it's good terms, bad terms or another reason.

Immediate unsuspected resignation for personal reasons almost certainly does not mean he/Intel 'completed' anything. Sounds more like when Krzanich left.

If he left on bad terms you'll start hearing soon about law suits being filed and gag orders being issued. That's nearly universally how large companies like this operate after a higher up leaves on anything other than good terms.

Well, except he wasn't hired to complete any project in the first place. He basically had a role of restructuring the Intel's chip engineering method and may had a role in setting up future roadmap.

Resigning effective immediately at the end of EST business hours on a Thursday hardly sounds like a good thing, but hey, think what you'd like.
