So you're telling me these are some magical new revision? If that was the case we would of also received a new 3950 XT. These will overclock just like a 3950x.

Really curious to see benchmarks but the lack of included heatsink is definitely lame.

Are you fing kidding me? The only difference between the 3900X and 3900XT is 100MHz boost clock? That's what I've been waiting for? Should I just get the 3900X now? I'm going to overclock it anyway. The only thing I'm curious about is how much better do the XT overclock if any.

At least a 200MHz higher base clock in addition to the higher boost clock.

Considering how small the bump is I suspect they will be better for overclocking because if the only difference is 100mhz and no cooler then these just wont sell enough to justify their existence. I don't think they would come without coolers if the intent wasn't overclocking.

I can see some of them hitting 4.9ghz. As long as they are not all the same bin. Some of the newer 3000x cpus can already hit 3.7.

Maybe on a single core, lower your expectations and expect similar clocks to a 3950x.

The base clock is power limit bound, it has nothing to with the silicon capabilities.
You'd need an efficiency boost from the more mature node.
