TL;DR

asus uses garbage components and design then uses airflow design to apply a bandaid fix that also reduces cpu/gpu thermal performance

Thats a fair assessment.

It seems weird that all their Tuff series aimed at gamers are all marketed crap.

It looks like they think gamers are idiots.

When these so called gamers choose products based on how many seizures they can have thanks to all the flashing lights you know exactly what 'gamers' are.

How the mighty have fallen. Long ago were the days of the mighty Sabertooth that could compete easily with the CHV (I killed two CHV's), now they're only capable of churning our mediocre rubbish that can barely pass for motherboards. I recommended a TUF 450 board to a friend because he wanted the cheapest acceptable board and I didn't do due diligence, I regret recommending that board, it's total rubbish.

The Ryzen-based Zephyrus also has these blocked vents. I really don't understand these boneheaded decisions by ASUS. Surely there is a better way to keep other components cool without sacrificing that precious thermal headroom for the CPU and GPU. It really makes me not want to recommend ASUS TUF laptops anymore even though they have been my go-to recommendation over other budget performance laptops like Lenovo's Legion or Acer's Nitro.

I always recommend Lenovo because most of their laptops are easy to maintain, all you need to do is open the back and everything is at hand, unlike many other laptops where you have to take the keyboard and even screen off just to clean the fan.

The one I had was really awful to work with, I hated it as it had a lot of compatibility issues with RAM and even HD's and even updating the BIOS didn't help.

Unless there is more than just a youtube video about this, it's does not belong in the news section on this site. You can obviously still post it in the general chat section where this kind of content belongs.
