Oh I agree, I see no reason we won't get desktop chips this year. I was just pointing out that potential "gotcha" that keeps coming up.

ah, the harsh realities of 2nd grade kick ball politics.

could either mold a person or break them.

Remember the golden rule of statistics: A personal sample size of one is a sufficient basis upon which to draw universal conclusions.

If you need help: Upload the computer to Dropbox and provide a link to it so others may download it to examine and give advice for repairs.

There was a kid in my class who ate bees for fun.

He didn't go far in life.

dammit there is a punchline in there somewhere that i'm obviously missing.

So many things wrong with that. One of the obvious ones being how the poor kid will feel outdated in a few years or so. Probably will have a insecurity complex about not being fast in single oriented tasks, won't be able to play games either. Probably constantly changing things in their life to create some sort of stability.

Oh also AMD releases at last second(meant minute) so probably Dec 31st 2020 @ 11:59pm(corrected below)
The name certainly needs to be very well thought out.

Years ago if you wanted your son to grow up tough,
all you had to do was go and name him Sue.

That name on a boy works the exact opposite now. (;-)
