I wonder how many oc enthusiasts who left intel for amd are disappointed that they don't actually get to overclock like we can on intel.

You have no clue what you are talking about, XT chips are a different process.
Different process warrants different SKUs. Duh

AMD released the XT chips at the same price as the X ones and yet you guy blame them for high prices when resellers are price gouging. I don't see you guys doing that when nVidia do the same.

You're leaving out the heatsink just like AMD did.

Makes sense to sell chips that can't quite make it as a 10900k as a slower version. Pretty clear looking around online that intel is having issues keeping the 10900k's in stock so there's clearly a demand for 10/20 comet lake. Would guess there's enough people out there willing to go with a slightly slower 10900k to save a few $$. This would also free up 10900k's for those wanting the best in socket.

I'm sure some people are getting sick of it. And many are likely getting sick of people complaining.
But I'm guessing he is less bothered by the popular echo chamber group being sick of him than letting misleading statements be.

Good point, I forgot about that one. That is a mistake and I agree with you that AMD should not have left out coolers with these chips.

Intel's fabs are basically entirely booked by corporate clients and OEM's, consumer chips are only defective Xeons and things won't change for a long time to come.

Don't they sell the non XT with coolers for same or lower price? Decide, do you want +100 MHz or how ever little it is and use your own cooler to get that performance or get the previous variant with a cooler. Sure a 3600XT with a cooler would be nice and that is the variant that does have a stock cooler. 3800/XT has been a well not very useful SKU from the start. And good luck cooling 3900/XT on a stock cooler I think.

Intel is more than happy to sell not as well binned 10 cores for more $$$ than if they had to chop them down to 8 core. That's why we are getting so many SKUs from all chip makers. And also why AMD is trying to sell x800X alongside x700/X CPUs, x600X alongside x600, ... They will make how many SKUs they can from their binning.

Seems like a lot of effort just to avoid admitting that the price is too high and lowering it.
