[Intel Newsroom]Murthy Renduchintala to Depart/Company Shakeup

Quote:
Today, Intel CEO Bob Swan announced changes to the company’s technology organization and executive team to accelerate product leadership and improve focus and accountability in process technology execution. Effective immediately, the Technology, Systems Architecture and Client Group (TSCG) will be separated into the following teams, whose leaders will report directly to the CEO.

i'd love to have words with the intel CEO. And ask them why it took decades of selling chips to finally make a good IHS. . Props to the new IHS, I don't own one, but I wish i did.

I know why, because consumers speak their mind on social media and shame intel. We literally had to shame intel for years since 6th generation chips(at the least) on social media like facebook/reddit/hwbot/product reviews to get them to not sell k-sku chips with bad IHS. I sure hope the new Intel regime is more pro-active than reactive. Reactive companies always fall eventually.

It's a bit ironic that de-lidding is still optimal and some people prefer the old IHS that is easily removed.

Interesting. Considering the power plays at work and Jim Keller's earlier departure, I figured Murthy would be forced out as the responsible leader for the 7nm fail.

I imagine things are now at maxim panic button mode and bob swan is really really and I mean really feeling the heat around the collar.

He knows he can't just keep coasting any longer and employees can't keep taking 45 min smoke breaks any longer.

Time to crack the whip and re structure

Edit: intel really loves the word accelerated in there wordings lol
