[TPU] GALAX Intros HOF OC Lab Diamond DDR4-5000 and HOF OC Lab Phantom Enthusiast Memory

Quote:
GALAX on Thursday introduced the Hall of Fame (HOF) OC Lab Diamond and HOF OC Lab Phantom lines of enthusiast-segment memory. These kits are led by a DDR4-5000 memory kit with 19-26-26-46 timings. The company didn't put out voltages, but the DDR4-4800 + 19-22-22-46T variant in the same series pulls 1.5 V, so the DDR4-5000 kit is only expected to be equal or higher. Other high-voltage hits include DDR4-4600 18-26-26-42 @1.5 V; DDR4-4400 18-22-22-42 @1.50 V; and DDR4-4266 17-22-22-38 @1.50 V. The HOF OC Lab Diamond memory kits feature chunky aluminium heatspreaders with pearl-white finish and a gold-plated ornament.
They at least look better than G.Skill's luxury kits. Zen 2 users enjoy.

Yeah, those G.Skill kits look awful. Have not been liking the style trends of late.

So are these kits the b-dies that will do something like 4600 mhz at 17/17/17/39 @ 1.50v ? Or 4400 16/16/16/36 @ 1.50v ?

I really like good memory and I am willing to pay extra for it but I cannot handle the "royal" styling. RGB which I can turn off I can live with, fake diamonds and crowns I cannot. I am normally strongly function over form, a bare green PCB would be fine if it was better memory, but not these. I just cannot do it.

Please don't only put your best memory in these terrible looking DIMMS, slap some black aluminium plates on some too. I suppose I could look at swapping the heat-spreaders but I would rather not need too.

What if ram kits had naked sticks and when you order them, you get the option to pick your type of heatsink and/or rgb bar that comes in a seperate package at no additional cost (cost factored into the sticks as usual) that can just be snapped/clipped into place or something? Would that satisfy everyone? It would also speed up manufacturing and save on manufacturing costs while giving the customer the option to customize what they want. Seems like a win - win for everyone.

When i hit the lottery ROFL. I can't even afford life in america right now let alone open a business. I'm an idea/business minded man, I know how to create great products, i know how to grow anything on a large scale and i know how to shrink anything on a large scale. I know how to solve problems, I know how to create problems. I know how to force innovation, I know how to stagnate. yadd yadda i could go on and on listing my talents but who cares. WHo ever wants to use that idea can have it, its all theirs, just gimme a damn shout out, otherwise if i see a company use it without giving me a shoutout, i'll **** all over them and teach them a lesson they will never forget. So any and every marketing materials or anything or any media announcements of any ram product using that idea, any commercials, anything, You gotta mention my name each time, My name is Duplicity. If a company can't figure out how to work the word Duplicity into their materials, then they ought to hire someone else, like maybe me . ALSO, NOBODY PATENTS IT, EVERYONE GETS TO USE IT. If someone does patent it, they gonna have a big problem.

Exactly, it would make it even easier for overclockers, they wouldn't even have to waste time ripping off heatsinks potentially screwing up a ram stick(which would cut potential rma costs) before putting them under ln2 or liquid cooling etc etc. This would make liquid cooling for ram an even more attractive purchase since the process would be simplified for the end user. It would also prevent capital from being tied up in unattractive looking ramkits that sit on shelves for extended periods of time waiting to be sold. It's literally a win for the ENTIRE MARKET - customers and busineses. SO yeah, nobody patents the idea or technology, anyone can use it as long as they mention Duplicity in their materials. Whoever breaks the rules gets buried, And i know how to shrink anything on a large scale because i have the power. Want more business plans/ideas/product ideas that you can patent and make bank on? $$$,$$$ - career - full benefits - vacations etc. Use me all you want, just take good care of me and i'll be loyal/obedient. If you run a multimillion dollar or multibillion dollar company, my price goes up because you can afford it without even feeling it . I literally came up with the idea in 30 seconds. I think quick. Imagine how many ideas you can get out of me over a long period of time and think about all the cash you could be swimming in from utilizing those ideas. mmmm cold hard cash just waiting to be collected. I can sell too .
