We had a privilege to see Barcelona K10 multimedia scores and we can confirm that clock to clock, it runs faster than Core 2 Duo.

Hmmm I think I'll go out and buy one then. But I can't.

I'm sure they will be better than a Core 2. It's been a year since the Core 2 came out. The way technology goes it should be leaps and bounds beyond the Core 2.

Well if it's true...lets hope it doesn't top off at around 3 ghz like the other AMD CPUs.

And when is Barcelona debuting?

Now wait a minute here. I'm confused. Barcelona is quad core, no? So, I would hope a quad would outperform a dual core in multimedia operations, guessing here that it is mutlithreaded.....

well, if the tests were multithreaded, then that's not fair, and what would be the point of the testing. I hope they were single threaded tests, otherwise their statements about performance are unfounded.

Really I'm not trying to bash AMD here, but if its 2009, Intel will have its new micro architecture out as well, with 45nm to boot. To me this seems like a stupid test comparing new to old tech. Thats kinda like Nvidia saying, yes our 9800 cards are faster than the hd2900's. It doesnt make much sense to me. Of course it should be faster, it is new tech, with x plus years of more technology put into it.
