It seems like a copyright violation. And the fuss I heard made it sound like the EU's member would be obligated to hold twitter responsible so twitter would preemptively filter my gif away to avoid trouble. And what about quoting and linking a page from another tech site? There's a lot of people from the EU on here that find a lot of stuff.
