Nah it's just a beefy card, even the reference cooler didn't do well. For example, without touching a thing i hit about 1640-1645 in Euro Truck Simulator 2 in some areas, core/mem are at 41/47°C, this card LOVES water. And in those areas in game it stays no problem at 1640. I've yet to even touch memory OC with it haha.

Set an aggresive fan profile and undervolt it. My Nitro has the fans hitting 100% at 60C @ 1100mv so at 1680 and 1050 it runs in the low to mid 50c range. Even the hot spot never goes over 75C. But the actual clock speeds are all over the place.

wow^, couldnt live with 100%. Found my max at 2100 rpm and actually got it boosting consistently around 1510-1540 at 1020mV, my cpu is actually limiting me in BFV now lol. I saw boost at 1607 but it needs that fan pumped up at 3000 rpm or more, its cool but i want keep my ears

Headphones. Good 30-50 ohm headphones. I hardly hear the fans at all, plus they almost never get close to 100% and are off as often as they are on. What I notice the most is the fans turning off and on as once they are running they are just background noise.
